Learn about our worship ministries at a glance below. If you're interested in either joining or leading a Christian ministry inside or outside of Asbury Grove as a Grove outreach, please contact the Chaplain.
Our ministries and the summer "camp meeting experience" are designed to provide rejuvenation and sabbatical to Christians near and far. We have several families who return from the mission field each summer from various locations around the world.
The fellowship enjoyed though participating in Grove activities is also an important part of Asbury Grove's purpose. We try to reach out to the local community to welcome everyone to attend events such as the Duathalon (Biking and Running), the Annual 4th of July Parade and Picnic, community dinners, and the summer concerts in the Tabernacle. The Barn Thrift Shop with treasures and antiques for sale is generally open from spring through fall on Fridays and Saturdays.
"Vespers" Services are held each Sunday at 4PM, Memorial Day Sunday to Labor Day Sunday. The service is held outside in the Vesper Circle or inside in the Chapel depending on the weather. Local preachers are invited to speak.
An over 157-year tradition, Camp Meeting Week occurs approximately the 3rd week in August. Asbury Grove holds nightly Camp Meeting worship services and day-time classes in the tradition established in August 1859, our first season.
The Asbury Grove Ladies Aid meets once a week during July and August for Bible study and business. The Ladies Aid assists the management of the Jessie Lee Hall for the corporation. It is available for short term rental by church groups and family gatherings.
The Asbury Grove Men's Class meets on Sunday mornings at 11AM during July and August for Bible study and business. They organize the auction that is held in the Tabernacle in July. Donations of items for the auction are welcome (fresh baked goods and house items). The Men's class hosts Ladies Night, held on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
